I’m guessing you mean Allegiant...which some people love, but if you miss a flight, the next one might be in 3 days. But cheap.

Well, for one, the sandwiches. For two, the un air-conditioned waits on the Beijing tarmac from time to time. For three, the un-reconditioned Ilyushins.

I always tell people that the worst airline I’ve ever flown on was Aeroflot, but the transatlantic flight on it was actually sort of okay as they go (bonus: most of the English films seemed very consciously chosen. I remember watching All the President’s Men on the plane, right around the time Snowden moved to Moscow), it was just the rest of the service, being in transit in Sheremetyevo for ten hours, and vivid memories of their well deserved very very plane crashy reputation that makes me never want to do it again.

At least they don’t charge €5 for a cup of coffee like frigging Aer Lingus.

I’m kind of curious where a north korean airline would even fly to. Is there anywhere NK allows its citizens to go? They’re not even allowed to freely travel within their own country.

I think Air Koryo’s rating is artificially low, biased by the fact that once you are in the plane, the only destination is North Korea.

Air Koryo flies between Beijing and Pyongyang, mostly. I don’t know if there are any Vladivostok/etc. flights. Obviously anybody getting on in Pyongyang is considered trustworthy and has some level of position.
